People new to the field of occupational hygiene all can benefit from the experience of more seasoned occupational hygienists. WHWB is presently assembling a directory of those of our members willing to act as mentors to others on a one-to-one basis. Our intent is to list individuals willing to assist a less experienced hygienist either in the comprehensive practice of occupational hygiene or in specific subject areas where the “mentor” has expertise.
If you are willing to assist a less experienced colleague in this way, please send an email to mentors@whwb.org.
If you are an occupational hygiene student, recent graduate, or a professional from another discipline who is new to occupational hygiene, you should be aware that WHWB has a number of volunteer members with extensive OHS experience, willing to share their experience with new entrants to the field. If you would like to be introduced to one of these people, send us an email at mentors@whwb.org.
Even oldsters who have been practicing for a few decades can occasionally benefit from the insights of a colleague, with a fresh perspective on an OHS problem. If you are not necessarily interested in volunteering for an ongoing one-to-one relationship, but are willing to share your occupational health and safety expertise, or if you are looking for assistance with a specific problem, please consider emailing WHWB at: mentors@whwb.org.
